THE VISION OF SAINT PAUL CITY CHURCH
2 Corinthians 5:14 “For Christ's love compels us,”
Our motivation for ministry doesn’t ultimately come from the people and their needs but from Christ Himself. “Christ’s love” is three fold; His love for us personally; our love for Him ; and His love for all people.
SPCC Core values ·We will obey God and His Word above all us. ·We believe that God created all men to serve Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We must bring as many people as possible to that understanding. (Soulwinning) ·We believe all people are valuable and deeply loved by God regardless of their present status. Therefore all people are due the utmost respect. ·We will create a stable, consistent witness in the midst of the madness of the inner city. ·We will serve people both physically and spiritually because this is what Jesus has commanded us to do. ·We will accept and integrate into the church body all English speaking people of various ethnic and economic backgrounds. Worship style, dress etc. will attempt to include as many people as possible. ·We believe that if people are discipled and get their relationship with God right, they will be empowered to solve every other problem that they might have.
Mission Statement: To bring the life (salvation) and ways (discipleship) of Jesus to people whatever their starting point is.
Our Goal: We will be a church with a multitude of ministries that are avenues for people to become connected to the church. People will be discipled to do something now that they are saved and to seek God for what it is He would have them to do. Some examples of Ministries are: Adopt-A-Block ; Deliverance from Chemical Dependency ; Youth Outreach, Children’s Outreach, Job Training ; Financial Management ; Securing Affordable Housing ; Street Witnessing ; Jail Ministry ; Fellowship for Single Mothers, Homeless Shelter ; Feeding Program: Bus Ministry etc.
