Saint Paul City Church

YEAR 2001
SAINT PAUL CITY CHURCH ESTABLISHES ITSELF
IN THE HEART OF THE CITY

For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited Me in,
I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Matthew 25:35-36

While on the Cross, one of the criminals next to Jesus cried out, ‘Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. Luke 23:42.

Former drug addicts, the severely abused and thieves are being saved !
Children from the "hood" are finding a place where they can be loved and cared for.

SPCC is a nontraditional church reaching out to the poor and downtrodden. A "Church for Everybody" regardless of race, economics, or length of their rap sheet. We teach: "It doesn't matter where you've been, all that matters is where you're going." Already we are making an impact in our neighborhood by our weekly "Adopt a Block" which is serving ministry, feeding and clothing programs along with discipleship and job placement. Our newest program is our Discipleship House for homeless people who want the Lord to change their lives around.

If anyone was to do a feasibility study on the right place to start a church, I doubt the corner of University and Lexington in St. Paul would be chosen. Yet our call to reach out to "the least of these my brethren" is not based upon demographics but the call of God himself. It is the Lord's desire to save and heal the people of the inner city of St. Paul.  It is our prayer that you are called to support Saint Paul City Church.

The year 2001 at SPCC has seen over 300 decisions for Christ, over 6000 meals served to the homeless, countless articles of clothing given out to the needy and the love of Jesus given out in everything we do. But best of all the Lord has established His church. We now have a core group of committed believers who have come from all manners of sin and addictions. These have all come from the homeless shelters and the surrounding neighborhood. Most come to Christ with less than ideal backgrounds and have trouble performing even some of lives most basic tasks. We are learning that Discipleship is as important as salvation.
